Celebrate the best of autumn at Heartwood’s 2nd Annual Fall Festival, Oct. 10-11 from 12-6 p.m. each day.
Thousands of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes will fill the park. Families can select complimentary pumpkins and decorate them on-site at Heartwood Park or take them home to carve.
Other free activities include all day bingo with prizes both days, a 9 hole putt putt golf course on Saturday and Under An Acre Adventures on Sunday with farm animals and miniature pony rides. Seasonal food favorites will be available for purchase from local food trucks.
Team Nebraska Snow Sculpting champion Matt Seeley returns to carve giant pumpkins throughout the event and offer tips on carving pumpkins at home. Leading up to the event, he and world champion snow sculptor Carlos Miguel Ramirez Pereyra from Team Mexico Snow Sculpting will transform a dozen colorful hay bales into a 12-foot-tall hay bale sculpture. The intricate work of art, “Harvest of Imagination,” will feature a scarecrow on a moon and be on display throughout the festival for photo opportunities.
