Colorful, larger-than-life kites from Great American Kites & Events will soar through the sky Oct. 17-18 at Heartwood Preserve’s second annual Kite Festival. The two-day festival is free to attend and runs 12-5 p.m. each day.
The sky becomes the show with a breathtaking display of color and motion from Great American Kites & Events, which boasts some of North America’s largest show kites.
Guests can enjoy a weekend of high-flying fun, learn kite-flying techniques from the professionals, bring or purchase a kite to fly or simply relax and watch the sky come alive. Festival foods and family activities also will be available. Activities are wind and weather dependent.
