YUANYE International Competition Awards
The YUANYE International competition, conducted each year by Global Design, commends outstanding development and design in architecture, planning, landscape and environmental arts across the globe. The Heartwood Greenway system won the Award of Excellence in the 13th Annual YUANYE Awards International Competition in 2022.

Yearbook of Engineering Achievement (YEA) Award
The YEA Awards, selected by a panel of judges composed of Civil+Structural Engineer Media staff and a team of professional engineers, celebrates projects that have demonstratively moved the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry forward through community and environmental impact, innovative technical processes, or groundbreaking vision and execution. The Heartwood Greenway was recognized for achievement in landscape architecture in 2021 and 2022.
Architecture MasterPrize
The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) is distributed by a panel of highly esteemed leaders in the architecture community and was developed by the Farmani Group, a worldwide leader in the curation of fine arts, in order to recognize and honor the creativity and innovation within the various fields of architecture across the globe. The Heartwood Greenways project garnered an award in the Large-Scale Landscape Project category of the AMP based on its beautiful structure and functionality.
Excellence in Sustainability
The American Planning Association’s Sustainable Communities Division (APA-SCD) is an educational institution that honors the ecological conservatorship of developments, infrastructures, and plans with their Awards for Excellence in Sustainability. The APA-SCD’s panel of experienced sustainability experts selected Heartwood Greenways in the Green Infrastructure Plan/Project category based on the project’s contextual creativity and innovation.
Honor Award
The American Society of Landscape Architect’s Northern California Chapter (ASLA-NCC) is an organization devoted to the promotion of landscape architecture and to the preservation of greenspace in the US. The ASLA-NCC Honor Award in Analysis and Planning was awarded to the Heartwood Greenways and Stormwater Masterplan based on the project’s articulate attention to detail, carefully structured planning, and respectful conservatorship of the area’s natural ecosystem.
Special Mention
The Architizer A+Awards boast one of the largest online architectural communities in the world with an emphasis on the promotion and celebration of the top architectural projects of the year. Their selection process involves a highly decorated panel of industry influencers from diverse architectural backgrounds that select the top 5% of entries in each category.
